🎆 Happy Fourth of July! 🎆
It’s been a hot start to the summer—but how lucky are we to have the Bannockburn Pool to cool off?
This year is extra special as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday and 70 years of the Bannockburn Pool!
Have old photos from the pool over the years? We’d love to feature them! Please send your favorite memories to [email protected]
Great news for merch lovers! If you missed purchasing Bannockburn gear in person, our online merchandise store is now open! Thanks to our amazing board volunteers, you can now shop your favorite Bannockburn gear anytime. Check it out below!
Finally, we’ve included a few friendly reminders about cleaning up after yourselves (and your guests!), parking courteously, and helping us keep the pool safe for everyone.
Stay cool, stay hydrated, and have a safe and happy Fourth of July weekend!
Warmly,
Your All-Volunteer Board

Friendly Reminders
Trash Talk (The Good Kind)
Let’s keep Bannockburn beautiful!
Please remind your kids—and your guests—to aim for the trash cans, not the pool deck. A little teamwork goes a long way toward keeping the pool enjoyable for everyone.

Parking Courtesy
Please park only in designated, lined parking spaces.
If the parking lot is full, parking is available on Laverock Lane, East Halbert, and Bannockburn Drive.
Please be mindful of our neighbors and avoid blocking driveways or creating access issues.
Thank you for helping us be good neighbors!
We Know You Love the Pool, But…
…please don’t try to access the pool after hours.
We’ve recently had several incidents involving unauthorized access and use of the facility, which has required us to install security cameras.
Please help us keep the pool safe by enjoying it only during operating hours.
Thank you for helping protect this wonderful community resource.
Food Trucks
Trippy Tacos
Sunday, July 5 • 4:00 PM–8:00 PM
Trippy Tacos is coming to the Bannockburn Pool parking lot on July 5th!
You can order here and also view their flyer here.
Trippy Tacos is based out of Silver Spring and Wheaton (with a restaurant in Silver Spring and a store in Wheaton). According to their website:
Trippy Tacos was born from an intense longing for otherworldly, or shall we say, ‘trippy’ tacos. Following graduation from UMD, Chris, a young entrepreneur and avid culinary enthusiast, traveled to Los Angeles to learn how to make amazing tacos. Excited to share his newfound passion, he returned to his beloved Maryland and opened a modest food truck in 2019.
Chris’s tacos, nachos, quesadillas, burritos, and mulitas captured hearts and palates, driving the business to new heights. By 2022, with a growing team we proudly call family, we established our permanent brick-and-mortar restaurant in Silver Spring.
As our culinary family expanded, so did the mix of cultures within our kitchen, transforming it into a melting pot of innovation. While our food trucks continue to roll into breweries, festivals, and community events, our restaurant welcomes anyone craving generous servings of Latin street food with a twist.”
Come by for some excellent tacos, nachos, quesadillas, and more!
